RESEARCH INTERESTS

Understanding the impact of climate change on forest ecosystems is an enormous challenge.  Forests store a large amount of carbon in above-ground biomass and belowground pools. Climate change can potentially alter the way forest acquire and use resources, including water, nutrients, and carbon dioxide.

 

MY LATEST RESEARCH

Measuring greenhouse gasses (CO2 and CH4) in boreal ecosystems. Here I just arrived at the tundra site near Inuvik (NWT - Canada) by helicopter with my friend Gabriel. 

Checking data from a microclimatic station above a tropical forest in Barro Colorado Island (Central Panama.
